Positive Performance, BNBR Revenue Increases 11.64% in Q1-2025

PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk. (“BNBR” or “the Company”) in the first quarter of 2025 posted revenue of Rp953.80 billion, up 11.64% or Rp99.5 billion compared to the same period in the previous year of Rp854.33 billion. In line with the increase in revenue, the company recorded an increase in operating profit of 15.72% or an increase of Rp8.87 billion from Rp56.38 billion in the same period the previous year to Rp65.25 billion. BNBR also recorded an increase in net profit attributable to the parent entity of Rp62.02 billion, up 17.0% or Rp9.0 billion compared to the same period in the previous year of Rp53.02 billion.
“The Company’s positive performance is the result of the hard work of all business units so that BNBR’s performance during the first 3 months of 2025 achieved impressive growth,” said CEO & President Director of PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk. (“BNBR”) Anindya N. Bakrie after releasing the BNBR Financial Report for the first quarter of 2025, in Jakarta, Sunday (4/5/2025).
Anin explained that the increase in the Company’s revenue came from the Bakrie Metal Industries (“BMI”) Group which increased by 14.8% or IDR85 billion, the VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas (“VKTR”) Group which increased by 6.3% or IDR13 billion, and the Bakrie Indo Infrastructure (“BIIN”) Group which increased by 3.8% or IDR2.8 billion. In addition, the increase in net profit was also supported by a significant decrease in interest expenses at the Holding level in connection with the success of significant debt restructuring and settlement last year. The Company also managed to increase the positive retained earnings trend after successfully carrying out a quasi-reorganization last year.
Business Unit Performance
BNBR Finance Director Roy Hendrajanto M. Sakti added that in the first quarter of 2025, the increase in Bakrie Metal Industries (“BMI”) Group’s revenue was supported by the revenue of PT Bakrie Pipe Industries (“BPI”) which increased by 1.7% or IDR9.5 billion compared to the same period last year. In addition, PT Southeast Asia Pipe Industries (“SEAPI”) contributed a revenue increase of 57.6% or IDR15 billion.
“There was also an addition from PT Bakrie Constructions (“BCons”) which posted revenue of IDR74.3 billion, whereas in the same period the previous year it was zero,” added Roy. In the VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk. (“VKTR”) Group business unit, revenue was supported by an increase in Bakrie Autoparts (“BA”) Group revenue of 10.7% or IDR21 billion in connection with the increase in BA Group’s sales volume which increased by 23%. In addition, ATPM experienced an increase of 24%, general casting 48%, and replacement market 4%.
