("VKTR") and the new renewable energy (EBT) industry through its subsidiary PT Helio Synar Energi ("Helio"), today "Today, we are proud to announce that BNBR is starting to enter the environmentally friendly 3-dimensional construction industry through PT Modula Tiga Dimensi ("Modula")," said BNBR Director & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Roy Hendrajanto M. Sakti, at the soft launching event. Modula, in Bekasi, West Java, Tuesday (21/5/2024).

Roy Hendrajanto M. Sakti, who is also the President Commissioner of Modula, said that BNBR's entry into the environmentally friendly 3D printing construction industry was marked by the launch of the BOD3 type 3D construction printing machine, whose technology has been widely used in Europe. In Indonesia, BNBR is a pioneer in using the most advanced technology in the 3D printing construction industry.

"Thank God, in Indonesia BNBR through Modula is a pioneer in the construction industry that uses 3D Construction Printing. We hope that this technology will be able to catch up with the housing backlog in Indonesia, especially in the building and housing construction segment, which is also in line with ESG principles," said Roy.

PT Modula Tiga Dimensi, lanjut Roy, merupakan perusahaan patungan (joint venture) antara BNBR dan perusahaan pembuat 3D construction printer terkemuka asal Denmark, COBOD International. Roy yakin, kerja sama ini mampu berkontribusi secara signifikan di tengah pertumbuhan industri kontruksi bangunan dan perumahan di Tanah Air dengan efisiensi yang tinggi melalui penerapan 3D construction printing yang ramah lingkungan.

"We see that the growth potential of this industry in Indonesia is very large. "This is a business opportunity that is worth exploring and developing," explained Roy.

Direktur Utama PT Modula Tiga Dimensi (Modula) Adi Bagus Tirto menambahkan, saat ini pasar perumahan di Indonesia masih mengalami kekurangan pasokan yang bahkan akan berlangsung hingga 2030. Adi mengatakan, kebutuhan rumah layak huni di Indonesia mencapai sekitar 600-800 ribu unit per tahun. Namun, pasokan yang tersedia hanya 400-500 ribu unit per tahun.

Menurut Adi, sejumlah 40% dari seluruh populasi rumah tangga di Indonesia mengalami housing backlog. Ia memperkirakan, sejumlah 30 juta rumah tangga di Indonesia akan membutuhkan hunian yang layak pada 2030 nanti.

Di sisi lain, lanjut Adi, sektor konstruksi dunia ternyata menyumbang emisi sejumlah 37% atau 1/3 dari jumlah emisi global. Dari besaran tersebut, sejumlah 25% emisi disumbang oleh material bangunan (embodied emission) dan akan terus naik angkanya hingga sekitar 49% di 2030.

"By using 3D construction printing technology, it is hoped that we can reduce emissions from the construction sector, especially in Indonesia," explained Adi.
