Kementerian Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) merilis data neraca sumber daya dan cadangan mineral nasional terbaru, salah satunya komoditas nikel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Data tersebut tercantum dalam Keputusan Menteri Energi dan Sumber Daya Mineral (ESDM) Nomor 132.K\/GL.01\/MEM.G\/2024 tentang Neraca Sumber Daya dan Cadangan Mineral dan Batu Bara Nasional pada Tahun 2023 yang ditetapkan pada 19 Juni 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Diterbitkannya Kepmen ESDM ini dikarenakan neraca sumber daya dan cadangan mineral dan batu bara nasional memiliki peranan penting untuk menetapkan kebijakan nasional di bidang energi dan sumber daya mineral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Berdasarkan Kepmen tersebut, dikutip Senin (1\/7\/2024), sumber daya tereka untuk bijih nikel tercatat mencapai sebesar 8,67 miliar ton dan untuk logam nikel sebesar 92,23 juta ton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Lalu, sumber daya tertunjuk bijih nikel tercatat sebesar 6,10 miliar ton dan logam nikel sebesar 55,58 juta ton. Untuk sumber daya terukur, bijih nikel berada diangka 3,76 miliar ton dan logam nikel sebesar 36,78 juta ton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dengan demikian, total sumber daya bijih nikel saat ini sebesar 18,55 miliar ton dan untuk logam nikel sebesar 184,60 juta ton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dari sisi cadangan, Indonesia tercatat masih memiliki total cadangan bijih nikel sebesar 5,32 miliar ton dan logam nikel sebesar 56,11 juta ton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Total cadangan nikel tersebut terdiri atas cadangan terkira bijih nikel sebanyak 3,42 miliar ton dan logam nikel sebesar 35,91 juta ton, serta cadangan terbukti bijih nikel sebesar 1,90 miliar ton dan logam nikel sebesar 20,20 juta ton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sementara itu, Kementerian ESDM mencatat total produksi nikel sepanjang Januari-Desember 2023 mencapai 175,61 juta ton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gencar Tarik Investasi Baterai EV<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pemerintah tengah gencar menarik investasi ekosistem baterai kendaraan listrik (electric vehicle\/EV) di Indonesia. Dorongan ini bukan tanpa sebab, karena bahan baku pembuatan baterai untuk kendaraan listrik, yaitu nikel sangat melimpah di Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tercatat sudah ada sejumlah kerja sama antara perusahaan dalam negeri dengan sejumlah investor luar negeri untuk pengembangan rantai pasok baterai EV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Seperti contoh, kerja sama antara pemain baterai asal China, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. (CATL) lewat PT Ningbo Contemporary Brunp Lygend Co, Ltd. (CBL) dengan Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC) untuk membangun rantai pasok baterai terintegrasi dari hulu ke hilir senilai US$5,8 miliar setara dengan Rp90,50 triliun (asumsi kurs Rp15.605 per dolar AS).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Kemudian, kerja sama antara PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO) dengan Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co dan Ford Motor Company untuk membangun smelter high-pressure acid leach (HPAL) yang menghasilkan bahan baku baterai EV di Blok Pomalaa, Sulawesi Tenggara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pada Januari 2024, Menteri Investasi\/Kepala BKPM Bahlil Lahadalia melaporkan total komitmen investasi ekosistem kendaraan listrik yang berhasil ditarik masuk Indonesia per kuartal IV\/2023 telah mencapai US$42 miliar atau Rp630 triliun.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Total komitmen investasi tersebut berasal dari LG Energy Solution US$9,8 miliar, CATL US$5,2 miliar, Foxconn US$8 miliar, INBC US$9 miliar, Ford US$4,5 miliar, Volkswagen US$2-US$3 miliar, dan BASF US$2,2-US$2,5 miliar.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

This data is contained in the Decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Number 132.K\/GL.01\/MEM.G\/2024 concerning the Balance of National Mineral and Coal Resources and Reserves in 2023 which was determined on June 19 2024. The issuance of this Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Decree is due to the fact that the national balance sheet of mineral and coal resources and reserves has an important role in determining national policy in the field of energy and mineral resources. Based on the Ministerial Decree, quoted Monday (1\/7\/2024), inferred resources for nickel ore were recorded at 8.67 billion tonnes and for nickel metal at 92.23 million tonnes. Then, indicated nickel ore resources were recorded at 6.10 billion tons and nickel metal at 55.58 million tons. For measured resources, nickel ore is at 3.76 billion tonnes and nickel metal at 36.78 million tonnes. Thus, the total nickel ore resources are currently 18.55 billion tons and for nickel metal it is 184.60 million tons. In terms of reserves, Indonesia is recorded to still have total nickel ore reserves of 5.32 billion tonnes and nickel metal of 56.11 million tonnes. The total nickel reserves consist of probable reserves of 3.42 billion tonnes of nickel ore and 35.91 million tonnes of nickel metal, as well as proven reserves of 1.90 billion tonnes of nickel ore and 20.20 million tonnes of nickel metal. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources recorded that total nickel production during January-December 2023 reached 175.61 million tons. Intensively Attract Investment in EV Batteries The government is aggressively attracting investment in the electric vehicle (EV) battery ecosystem in Indonesia. This encouragement is not without reason, because the raw material for making batteries for electric vehicles, namely nickel, is very abundant in Indonesia. It is recorded that there has been a number of collaborations between domestic companies and a number of foreign investors to develop the EV battery supply chain. For example, cooperation between battery players from China, Contemporary Amperex Technology Co. (CATL) via PT Ningbo Contemporary Brunp Lygend Co, Ltd. (CBL) with Indonesia Battery Corporation (IBC) to build an integrated battery supply chain from upstream to downstream worth US$5.8 billion, equivalent to IDR 90.50 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of IDR 15,605 per US dollar).
