PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas (VKTR) kian meneguhkan posisinya untuk mengembangkan industri hulu kendaraan listrik di Indonesia. Kali ini, VKTR menjalin kerja sama strategis dengan salah satu perusahaan baterai terbesar di China dan India, yakni Gotion High-Tech Co., Ltd. melalui anak usahanya PT. Gotion Indonesia Materials, untuk mengembangkan komponen penting dalam industri baterai kendaraan listrik.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Kerja sama ini nantinya akan berfokus pada pengembangan pak baterai, yang merupakan salah satu komponen penting dalam anatomi baterai kendaraan listrik,\" terang Direktur Utama VKTR Gilarsi W. Setijono, usai penandatanganan Nota Kesepahaman (Memorandum of Understanding\/MoU), di Jakarta, Jumat (23\/12\/2022). Penandatanganan MoU dilakukan oleh Dirut VKTR Gilarsi W. Setijono dan Direktur Eksekutif PT Gotion Indonesia Materials Shen Wenbo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gilarsi menambahkan, VKTR berencana memproduksi kendaraan listrik berbasis baterai dengan kebutuhan baterai yang sudah diproyeksikan hingga tahun 2027. Harapannya, Gotion High-Tech Co., Ltd. akan membantu menyediakan pak baterai lithium untuk keperluan kendaraan listrik baru maupun kendaraan listrik hasil retrofit yang akan diproduksi oleh VKTR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Menurut Gilarsi, merancang pak (pack) baterai yang tepat sangat penting untuk memenuhi harapan VKTR sebagai pelanggan terutama dalam hal jangkauan, biaya, keamanan, daya tahan, dan pengalaman berkendara. Namun, mengintegrasikan teknologi ini dalam kendaraan merupakan tantangan, karena biaya dan kinerja harus dipertaruhkan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Baik pendatang baru maupun pemain lama dalam bidang otomotif akan menghadapi tantangan untuk menyeimbangkan faktor-faktor ini, terutama karena belum ada OEM yang memiliki pengalaman memproduksi paket baterai untuk memandu pengambilan keputusan mereka,\" jelas Gilarsi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Untuk mengoperasikan kendaraan listrik, lanjut Gilarsi, diperlukan daya yang sangat besar ribuan kali lebih kuat daripada ponsel pintar. Itulah sebabnya mobil listrik membutuhkan puluhan sel baterai hingga ribuan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Komposisi baterai EV mungkin sedikit berbeda tergantung pada jenis kendaraan listriknya, tetapi umumnya baterai EV terdiri dari sel, modul, dan pak,\" katanya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Gilarsi menjelaskan, untuk mengelola sel baterai yang tak terhitung jumlahnya yang dipasang dalam satu EV dengan aman dan efisien, sel tersebut dipasang dalam bentuk modul dan pak. Sederhananya, sel, modul, dan pak adalah unit baterai yang dikumpulkan. \"Sekelompok sel membentuk modul dan sekelompok modul membentuk pak. Pada akhirnya, dalam kendaraan listrik, satu bentuk baterai dipasang: satu pak,\" urainya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Direktur Eksekutif PT Gotion Indonesia Materials Shen Wenbo mengatakan, pihaknya optimis kerja sama strategis ini ke depan dapat berjalan lancar dan mampu memajukan industri baterai kendaraan listrik di Indonesia. According to Gilarsi, designing the right battery pack is very important to meet VKTR’s expectations as a customer, especially in terms of range, cost, safety, durability and driving experience. However, integrating this technology in vehicles is a challenge, as both cost and performance are at stake. “Both newcomers and existing players in the automotive space will face challenges balancing these factors, especially since no OEM has the experience of producing battery packs to guide their decision making yet,” explained Gilarsi. To operate an electric vehicle, continued Gilarsi, enormous power is required thousands of times stronger than a smartphone. That is why electric cars require tens of thousands of battery cells. “The composition of an EV battery may vary slightly depending on the type of electric vehicle, but generally an EV battery is made up of cells, modules and a pack,” he said. Gilarsi explained, in order to safely and efficiently manage the countless battery cells installed in a single EV, the cells are installed in modules and packs. Simply put, cells, modules and packs are battery units that are collected. “A group of cells forms a module and a group of modules forms a pack. Ultimately, in an electric vehicle, one form of battery is installed: a pack,” he explained.
