Di tengah upaya menyiasati dampak dari pandemi dan pembatasan kegiatan yang melumpuhkan banyak sektor usaha di negeri ini, PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR) giat melakukan efisiensi ke dalam, dan bahkan kini juga mengarahkan segenap sumberdaya perusahaan untuk mulai menapaki ladang bisnis baru yang lebih menjanjikan, yaitu di sektor sustainable business dan bisnis berbasis teknologi digital. Demikian yang diungkap oleh Presiden Direktur BNBR Anindya Bakrie, melalui siaran pers pada hari Minggu (01\/08).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSelama ini, salah satu pilar penting dalam portofolio kami adalah industri manufaktur. Hampir 80 tahun lamanya, atau sepanjang grup usaha kami berdiri, sektor ini menjadi andalan\u201d, papar pria yang akrab dipanggil Anin ini. Belakangan BNBR mengerjakan proyek-proyek infrastruktur yang turut menjadi sumber pertumbuhan perusahaan, namun kemajuan teknologi dan kondisi pasar yang berubah cepat membuat Bakrie & Brothers kembali menyiapkan manuver baru.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cKini tiba saatnya bagi kami untuk melangkah lebih maju lagi. Target utama seluruh pelaku usaha di dunia kini mengikuti apa yang tertuang di dalam Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). Kita juga melihat bagaimana teknologi digital telah menjadi arus utama bisnis di seluruh dunia. Karenanya, BNBR turut berkomitmen untuk mengembangkan sektor sustainable energy dan digital business sebagai bagian dari strategi bisnis di masa depan\u201d, kata Anindya menjelaskan. \u201cJadi, istilahnya kami ini ingin \u2018naik kelas\u2019 mengerjakan bisnis-bisnis yang berkelanjutan dan ramah lingkungan, dengan basis penguasaan teknologi yang tepat guna.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dikatakan juga oleh Anindya bahwa fokus baru ini tidak untuk menjadikan bisnis-bisnis yang ada ditinggalkan. Industrialisasi akan tetap menjadi pilar penting bagi perusahaan, ke depan. \u201cSecara bertahap kami akan melakukan revitalisasi pada setiap unit usaha di sektor manufaktur, disesuaikan dengan tantangan dan peluang yang ada, menuju Industry 4.0. Memang akan membutuhkan waktu dan proses yang panjang, tetapi kami optimis akan hasilnya nanti\u201d, kata Anindya. \u201cJadi, kami reform bisnis yang ada sekarang, sambil mulai \u2018pivoting\u2019 bisnis-bisnis baru kami.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bisnis-bisnis Baru BNBR<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Seperti diketahui, Bakrie & Brothers kini tengah merintis beberapa sektor usaha yang tergolong dalam bisnis baru yang berkelanjutan. Di antaranya Bakrie Autoparts, unit usaha BNBR yang bergerak di bidang komponen otomotif, yang tengah memasok unit bus listrik kepada Pemerintah Provinsi DKI Jakarta melalui PT Transjakarta. Sebanyak 30 unit bus saat ini akan segera digunakan oleh pihak Transjakarta. Ke depan BNBR juga telah berkomitmen untuk menyediakan tambahan unit berikutnya, demi memenuhi target DKI Jakarta sebanyak 100 unit bus listrik di tahun ini.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dalam sektor industri energi baru dan terbarukan, Bakrie & Brothers melalui anak usaha PT Bakrie Power belum lama ini menyepakati kerja sama dengan PT PLN (Persero) dalam proyek pengadaan dan pemasangan Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) Hybrid di Desa Parak, Selayar, Sulsel. Saat ini ada ratusan pembangkit listrik bertenaga diesel yang kini dioperasikan PLN, sehingga ini menjadi potensi besar untuk dapat dikonversi menjadi pembangkit EBT, seperti yang dilakukan di PLTS Hybrid Selayar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n BNBR melalui PT Multi Kontrol Nusantara (MKN) yang berfokus pada industri teknologi informasi dan komunikasi\/ICT dan penyediaan jasa pendukung infrastruktur IT, saat ini juga mulai berkiprah sebagai salah satu penyedia jasa IoT (Internet of Things) untuk industri mining, manufacturing and utilities. Mengikuti tren kenaikan sektor industrinya, pendapatan PT MKN dari penyediaan jasa ICT pada tengah tahun 2021 ini meningkat sebesar lebih dari 182% dibandingkan waktu yang sama tahun lalu. Hal ini menunjukkan besarnya potensi bisnis ini di masa depan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Performa Keuangan Membaik<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Dalam kesempatan yang sama, Anindya Bakrie juga menjelaskan bahwa pilihan sektor bisnis yang ditekuni selama ini telah terbukti mampu membawa BNBR melewati berbagai macam krisis dan tantangan. \u201cAlhamdulillah, hingga saat ini kami bisa terus menjaga pertumbuhan perusahaan dan melewati pasang-surutnya dunia usaha, berbekal resiliensi dari sektor-sektor usaha yang kami miliki\u201d, tandasnya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anindya mengakui, pandemi yang berkepanjangan ini memang berdampak signifikan terhadap kinerja perusahaan secara keseluruhan. Namun, secara bertahap perusahaan dapat membalik kinerja negatif tersebut. \u201cDapat dilihat dari laporan keuangan tengah tahun 2021 yang baru saja kami terbitkan, upaya-upaya efisiensi di berbagai sektor yang kami lakukan sepanjang tahun telah membuahkan hasil yang menggembirakan,\u201d ujarnya. \u201cDalam menjalankan efisiensi perusahaan, beberapa cara kami tempuh termasuk langkah-langkah penghematan, penurunan biaya-biaya, hingga penjadwalan ulang pembayaran kewajiban.\u201d\n\nSalah satu indikator perbaikan yang terlihat adalah nilai rugi usaha yang besarannya lebih baik dibandingkan nilai tahun 2020 lalu. Pada tengah tahun 2021 ini, BNBR mencatat rugi bersih sebesar Rp.43 miliar. Angka ini jauh lebih baik dibandingkan periode yang sama tahun lalu, dimana tercatat rugi bersih sebesar Rp.121 miliar lebih. Sementara itu, pendapatan perusahaan sepanjang setengah tahun di 2021 ini berada di angka Rp.1,038 triliun, turun sekitar 21% dibanding tahun lalu. Sejalan dengan itu, secara proporsional COGS juga mengalami penurunan sebesar 21%. It will take time and a long process, but we are optimistic about the result,\u201d said Anindya. “So, we are reforming the existing business, while starting to ‘pivoting’ our new businesses.” BNBR’s New Businesses As is known, Bakrie & Brothers is currently pioneering several business sectors that are classified as new sustainable businesses. Among them are Bakrie Autoparts, a BNBR business unit engaged in automotive components, which is supplying electric bus units to the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government through PT Transjakarta. As many as 30 buses will now be used by Transjakarta. Going forward, BNBR has also committed to providing the next additional unit, in order to meet DKI Jakarta’s target of 100 electric buses this year. In the new and renewable energy industry sector, Bakrie & Brothers through its subsidiary PT Bakrie Power recently agreed to cooperate with PT PLN (Persero) in the project for the procurement and installation of a Hybrid Solar Power Plant (PLTS) in Parak Village, Selayar, South Sulawesi. Currently, there are hundreds of diesel-powered power plants that are now operated by PLN, so this has great potential to be converted into EBT plants, as was done in PLTS Hybrid Selayar. BNBR through PT Multi Control Nusantara (MKN) which focuses on the information and communication technology\/ICT industry and the provision of IT infrastructure support services, is now also starting to take part as a provider of IoT (Internet of Things) services for the mining, manufacturing and utilities industry. Following the upward trend in the industrial sector, PT MKN’s revenue from providing ICT services in the middle of 2021 increased by more than 182% compared to the same time last year. This shows the huge potential of this business in the future. Improved Financial Performance On the same occasion, Anindya Bakrie also explained that the choice of business sector that she has been engaged in so far has proven to be able to bring BNBR through various crises and challenges. “Alhamdulillah, until now we have been able to maintain the company’s growth and get through the ups and downs of the business world, armed with the resilience of our business sectors,” he said. Anindya admitted that this prolonged pandemic had a significant impact on the company’s overall performance. However, gradually the company was able to reverse this negative performance. “It can be seen from the mid-2021 financial report that we have just published, the efficiency efforts in various sectors that we have carried out throughout the year have produced encouraging results,” he said. “In running the company’s efficiency, we take several ways including saving measures, reducing costs, to rescheduling the payment of obligations.” One of the indicators of improvement seen is the value of operating losses, which are better than the value in 2020. In the middle of 2021, BNBR recorded a net loss of Rp.43 billion. This figure is much better than the same period last year, which recorded a net loss of more than Rp. 121 billion. Meanwhile, the company’s revenue for the half year in 2021 is at Rp. 1.038 trillion, down about 21% compared to last year. In line with that, COGS also decreased proportionally by 21%.
