Dua negara tetangga Indonesia yaitu Malaysia dan Singapura terancam resesi gara-gara pandemi virus corona (Coronavirus Disease-2019\/Covid-19) yang membuat aktivitas ekonomi mati suri. Namun bagi Indonesia, sepertinya \u2018hilal\u2019 resesi masih sangat samar-samar, nyaris belum terlihat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pada kuartal I-2020, ekonomi Singapura mengalami kontraksi (pertumbuhan negatif) -2,2% year-on-year (YoY). Sepanjang 2020, pemerintah memperkirakan kontraksi ekonomi berada di kisaran -4% hingga -7%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sementara Malaysia masih membukukan pertumbuhan ekonomi 0,7% YoY pada kuartal I-2020. Namun laporan Departemen Statistik Malaysia menyebutkan bahwa ada sinyal ekonomi bakal masuk ke jurang resesi dalam 4-6 bulan ke depan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIndikasi awal menggambarkan bahwa pada April dan Mei 2020 situasi ekonomi tidak kondusif bagi dunia usaha di Malaysia. Sejumlah indikator permulaan (leading indicator) memberi sinyal bahwa resesi ekonomi akan terjadi dalam 4-6 bulan ke depan. Demi mencegah penularan virus corona, dua negara tersebut memang menerapkan kebijakan pembatasan sosial (social distancing) yang ketat. Bahkan di Malaysia sudah \u2018naik pangkat\u2019 menjadi karantina wilayah alias lockdown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Di Malaysia, lockdown disebut dengan Movement Control Order (MCO). Seluruh aktivitas ekonomi kecuali sektor vital ditutup dan wilayah perbatasan terlarang bagi warga negara asing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
