Industry Will Get Additional Incentives, This Is the Leak

Minister of Industry (Menperin) Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita revealed that currently the government is preparing additional incentives or stimuli for national industries affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Agus explained that the government had previously provided various incentives for the business world, for example, tax relief and ease of export.
“The government doesn’t stop there. At the moment the government is also intensively discussing additional incentives or stimuli that we will direct to the industry, ”he said in a Webinar on the Ministry of Industry’s YouTube channel, Tuesday (9/6/2020).
Agus explained that today there is a scheduled meeting with the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto. Possible one that will be discussed is additional incentives for industry.
He explained that his party is considering the lightening of electricity payments by the industry. Based on the presentation material, the proposal put forward is the elimination of the account for a minimum of 40 hours on, including for premium industrial customers 233 hours on, from 1 April to 31 December 2020. Payment is in accordance with the amount of electricity usage. The amount of stimulus needed is IDR 1.85 trillion for 9 months.
“Now, perhaps we will discuss it with the Coordinating Minister, among others, we will discuss lightening electricity payments,” he said.
