Irwan Sjarkawi - President Commissioner/Independent Commissioner
Has served as President Commissioners since June 2004. He joined Bakrie & Brothers in 1998, and then served as President Director & CEO (1989-2002) and Commissioner (2002-2004).
His academic background comprises the degree from Communications Technology from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and advanced study in Digital Electronics at the International Institute of Phiilips, Eindhoven, He received an honor as Senior Fellow at John F. Kennedy of Government, Harvard University, Cambridge, USA in 2002.
Mohamad Ikhsan - Independent Commissioner
Has served as Independent Commissioner of Bakrie & Brothers since June 2006. In 2009 he has been elected as the Board of Trustee International Food Policy Research Institute, Washington DC for 2009-2011 periods.
He is actively involved in the Indonesian economic sector, among others, by working as the research staff at the institute of Economic and Social Research (LPEM UI) at his almamater University of Indonesia and serving as the Special Advisor for the Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs. He holds a master's degree in Economics from Vanderbilt University, USA PhD in Economics from University of Illinois, USA.
Armansyah Yamin - Commissioner
Appointed as Commisioner in June 2009. His career with the Company start in 1985, holding a position as s Special Project Manager. In 1993-1998 he was the Vice President Director-Bakrie Trading.
His academic background is in aviation and business area, where he has participated in various training programs at the Indonesian Aviation Academy, Instructor and Test Pilot Programs British Aerospace, Airline Management Course Airlines and Philippine University Manila and institute Commodity of London.
Nugroho I. Purbo Winoto - Commissioner
Appointed as Commissioner in June 2009. He has been working for Bakrie & Brothers since 1975, and onwards serving numerous key positions such as Director-Corporate Administration of PT. Bakrie & Brothers, President Director of PT. Bakrie Pipe Industries and Director of PT. Seamless Pipe Indonesia Jaya.
He was graduated from Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), has taken various training programs in management both in Indonesia and overseas.
